The undersea landscape in the South East is teeming with life and in a recent study by Natural England, the Isle of Wight features no less than 9 times in a list of 24 top marinelife hotspots in the region.
Some highlights around the Island include the pupping grounds for several species of shark including the rare porbeagle and the thresher, and caves with dead men’s fingers - a soft coral-like sponge.
